Alpena Community College Human Resources Department Mission:

The Human Resources function at Alpena Community College is handled through the Human Resources office. Alpena Community College is dedicated to providing the best education possible for its students. Accordingly, our college is committed to hiring the best-qualified candidates for vacancies. Thus our Board policy provides that, "The College will hire an individual solely on the basis of their qualifications and suitability for the job to be filled."

When positions become available, they are advertised internally. If it is not possible to fill the position from within, the position is advertised externally. All positions are posted on the bulletin board outside the Human Resource office and on the Alpena Community College website. When positions become external they will be advertised in many area newspapers. Unsolicited applications are kept on file for approximately one year.
